Trojans get 1st Win of Season vs DLS: The Trojans were at home for their Annual Day-Before-Thanksgiving game as the crowd and Alumni showed up to support the home team. The Trojans welcomed MIHL powerhouse DeLaSalle for Wednesday's match-up. In an unbelievable and unpredictable way, the Trojans went to their fourth straight overtime game to open their season. In the first period, the Trojans and Pilots exchanged blows but neither could score. Both goaltenders played well. Senior goalie Evan Sivi was solid between the pipes and made 8 saves in the first period to keep the score tied at 0. In the second period, again, both teams traded blows. Both teams had opportunities on the powerplay, but both goalies turned away shot after shot. More About Trojans get 1st Win of Season vs DeLaSalleTrenton Girls Varsity Swim Team Competes at MHSAA Division 3 State MeetThe Trenton Girls Varsity Swim Team concluded their season with a strong showing at the MHSAA Division 3 State Meet, held at Eastern Michigan University on November 22-23. Representing Trenton at the prestigious event were Claire Caldwell, Leland Tait, Delaney Cannon, Sophia Shaul, and Trinity Kelly, who competed in the final meet of the season.Highlighting Trenton’s performance was senior standout Sophia Shaul, who delivered an impressive performance in the 200-yard freestyle. After earning a third-place finish in the preliminaries, Shaul surged ahead in the finals to claim the Runner-Up position, marking a remarkable end to her season.The 400-yard freestyle relay team, consisting of Tait, Cannon, Caldwell, and Shaul, came into the meet as the 23rd seed but exceeded expectations. More About BSN Softball ShopOn Thursday Nov 21, 2024, the Trojans traveled to Oak Park to take on long-time rival, Brother Rice. It was the Trojans first away game of the season. The Trojans were looking to get their first win of the season after their first two games of the season went into overtime. In the first period, Brother Rice came out flying and put the Trojans back on their heels. The Trojans struggled in their defensive zone, but Senior netminder, Evan Sivi, played tough and kept the Warriors off of the board. The Trojans did have a few scoring chances in the period but could not find the back of the net.In the second period, the Warriors banged in a rebound goal to take the lead 1-0. The Trojans battled back. It was Nathan Sparks who took the puck into the corner and waited, waited, and waited until he found a streaking Donovan Durbin in front to score his 1st goal of the season. More About Ice Hockey: Trojans Battle Brother RiceTrojans Take 2 Games to Overtime It was opening weekend for the Trenton Trojan Varsity Hockey team with much anticipated excitement for the 24-25 Team. Opening weekend saw the Trojans face-off against two top HS Hockey teams in Hartland and Cranbrook. On Friday night, the Trojans battled Hartland, which would be a classic game between the two long standing rivals. Both goaltenders shared the spotlight as they turned away shot after shot. It was Senior Evan Sivi for the Trojans who stood tall and gave the Trojans an opportunity to win. All three periods were hard fought with the Trojans failing to convert on two breakaways and other scoring chances. After 3 periods of play, the score remained tied 0-0. More About Softball Preseason Meeting: 11/20/2024 in the Trojan Cafe at 2:45 PMVarsity Hockey Scrimmage vs Brighton 11/9/24 On Saturday night, the Trojans were in action for the first time this season as they scrimmaged Brighton for their only scrimmage of the season. This was a good opening test for the Trojans who added 11 new players to their roster. In the first period, the Trojans were on their heels, as the Bulldogs carried most of the play. The Trojans slowly evened things out as their speed increased. It was Senior Landon Stark that opened up the scoring on a beautiful dish from Sophomore Brett Allen. Later in the first, Senior Seth Ling threw a puck to the net that Junior Jack Brownlie put into the back of the net. Senior Evan Sivi was tested often, but turned away every shot that he faced. In the second period, the Bulldogs got off to a quick start and scored two quick goals on netminder Senior Isaac Anderson. The Trojans battled back as Junior Ty Popowicz scored to give the Trojans momentum.

More About Girls Basketball Spirit Wear Shop!This past Saturday, our senior girls Marisa Chuey and Devyn Dorey competed in the Division 2 State Finals at Michigan International Speedway. In her third appearance of her career, Marisa had both her best finishing place and time at the state meet, finishing in 60th of 261 runners with a time of 19:29. Devyn finished 112th overall and ran her best time of the season, 20:11, getting faster and faster with every mile. Both girls ran extremely smart and strong races to top off their cross country careers, and the coaches couldn't be happier with their growth and performance over their four years with the team. Congratulations ladies!
More About Cross Country Division 2 State Finals at Michigan International SpeedwayThe cross country team closed their regular season at the Post a PR Invite at the scenic Huron Meadows Metropark on 10-30-24. The athletes went into the race determined and ready to take on a hilly course that we're not used to Downriver. There were several fast, exciting finishes and a strong sense of teamwork as the kids paced together to tackle the course and the competition. The meet marked the last time crossing the finish line for our senior boys: Owen Hassett, Michael Rowland, and Gage Cartwright. At the end of the day, spirits were high for our closing meet, and the coaches are pleased with how the team has progressed up to this last meet. Great job, team!
