The Trojans improved to 7 - 8 after a 21 point victory over Lincoln Park, 36 -15, with 8 of 10 girls scoring in the game. We limited our turnovers and had one our best shooting games of the season, along with playing stingy defense that only allowed a single LP player to score a basket. More About Swim Meet Livestream: 2/11/25Saturday in the boys' district Brock Culpepper-11 at 215 placed 2nd with a 40-2 record and James Harrison-11 at 138 placed 4Th with a 25-20 record and will wrestle in the regionals at Chelsea next Saturday starting at 9:00. Evelyn Rennie-10 at 100 placed 2nd with a 25-14 record and Avalina Wiiliamson-9 at 100 placed 3rd with a 18-13 record and will wrestle at Chelsea next Saturday in the girls divison. Good Luck! More About Girls JV Basketball: 2/6/25Trenton lost to Southgate 64-16 and Southgate beat Riverview 58-20 for the district championship. Trenton winners were Cole Scrimenti-120, James Harrison-138 and Brock Culpepper-215. It's now on to the MHSAA Individual Districts at Melvindale H.S. Saturday 2/8/25 starting at 9:00am. Wishing all the best for the Trenton wrestlers on Saturday. The top 4 in each weight class will compete next Saturday at Chelsea H.S. 2/15/25 In the MHSAA Regionals to go to the state finals starting at 9:00am.
More About Wrestling Team Districts: 2/6/25The Trojans played their best game of the year, with a complete effort on offense and defense for a 32 - 23 victory. Southgate played a physical game and our girls matched their intensity. Physical Therapist Available Every Wednesday from 2:30-3:30pm for Injury Screening at THSThe Michigan middle school swim and dive season came to an end at Battle Creek Lakeview High School this past weekend. Arthurs had eleven (11) swimmers and four (4) divers compete in the state meet. There is no team championship. Here are the results.In the girls' portion of the meet, Sofia D'Alimonte took first place in the one (1) meter diving. Also competing in the diving was Sloane Cannon who finished 12th and Emma Amezcua finished 11th.In the swimming portion, Charlotte Cheney finished 4th in the 200 Yard Freestyle and 6th in the 100 Yard Freestyle. In the 200 Yard Medley Relay, Victoria Lear, Adrianna Fowle, Louisa Tait and Charlotte finished 30th. The same four (4) swimmers finished in 21st place in the 200 Yard Freestyle RelayIn the boys portion of the meet, Simon Durbin placed 12th in the diving. More About AMS Swim & Dive MISCA MeetTrenton tied for 5th with Allen Park at 150.5 points. Just 4 points behind Edsel Ford for 4th place. Southgate won the league championship. We placed 9 out of 11 wrestlers we brought to the tournament. Brock Culpepper-11at 215 took 1st place. Cole Scrimenti-10 at 120 and Parker Saches-9 at 165 both placed 3rd. Kevin Fritz-12 at 126 and James Harrison-11 at 138 both placed 4th. Blake Scrimenti-10 at 132 and Luke Heffinger-11 at 175 both placed 5th and Elijah Benskey-10 at 106 and Mike Rowland-12 at 157 placed 6th. The wrestlers really wrestled well. You can see the improvement ever weak. Now its on to the Team District Championship at Southgate Thursday 2-6-25 at 5:00. More About Downriver League Wrestling ChampionshipThrough 3 quarters, it was an exciting back and forth game. Neither side could seem to extend the lead to more than 3 points. Unfortunately, things changed in the 4th quarter. Fatigue set in and Woodhaven took advantage, outscoring us 13-22 in the final quarter, for a disappointing 41-53 loss. More About Girls JV Basketball: 1/30/25The girl wrestlers place 10th out of 34 schools Saturday Jan. 25th at Warren Mott H.S. Evelyn Rennie-So. placed 2nd at 100lbs., Avalina Williamson-Fr. placed 3rd and Juliana Hanna-Jr. 115 lbs. went 3-2 on the day. Evelyn now has 3- 1sts'and 2- 2nd place finishes. Avalina has 3- 3rd place finishes. Very good girls, keep it up. Also, on Saturday at Utica H.S. Elijah Benskey-So. 106 lbs. and Madden Robinson-So. 190 placed 5th going 2-2 on the day. This weekend at Carlson H.S. Is the Downriver League Championships starting at 9:00.
