The Trenton Trojan Freshman won the second game of the doubleheader on Friday to grab their 20th victory on the last day of the season. After losing to Bedford early in the year 9-0 and then the first game Friday night 3-1, the Trojan Freshman showed their resiliency and beat Bedford in the late innings.
The Trojan Frosh trailed 1-0 and the game was getting late in the fourth inning. Jack Miller started the rally with a sharp single to centerfield, Jacob Hughes was hit by a pitch. Anthony Voss in an attempt to move the runners up, put down a perfect bunt and beat the throw to first to load the bases with no one out. After a pop-out, Ryan Scheffler had a 9 pitch at bat that resulted in a walk to force a run home and tie the game. After another out, Brenden Donovan got a two-out single to knock in two runs.
Jack Miller earned the win for Trenton. He tossed two innings, allowing zero runs, two hits, striking out one and walking one. Zac Drumm started the game for Trenton. He threw three innings, allowing one run, four hits and striking out one. Donovan led the day hitting by going 3-3 and knocking in two runs.
