1. What was your favorite personal memory of HS Soccer?

My favorite personal memory of HS soccer was my senior year and the bond we had as a team and how far we went in the playoffs.

2. What was your greatest win of your 4 years on Varsity?

My senior year we won districts and regionals! It was so fun and exciting to make it to the state rounds.

3. What are you doing these days?

I am a pediatric occupational therapist and I work with kids with varying disabilities in an outpatient setting as well as in the schools. I am also getting married August of this year 🙂

4. What advice do you give this year’s seniors?

Soccer has been a huge part of many of your lives over the years. Be proud of what you have accomplished in the sport and in school. You have so many good memories and exciting milestones ahead!

5. How many years did you make varsity

4 years

6. What number did you wear?

#6

7. Anything you want to say to the girls based on how they did not get to play their season.

I know I do not know you each personally, but I can say I am so proud of you! I can’t imagine how you must be feeling not being able to play your senior year. My advice to you would be to focus on the memories, friendships made, and how being on the team has impacted who you are as a person. I can definitely attest to the fact that soccer has helped shape who I am and how I work and communicate with others. Take the lessons you learned about friendships, perseverance, confidence, work ethic, teamwork, etc. and take it with you to college and into your future career path!

8. Were you a captain?

Yes

2012 Division  2  Final 4

1. What was your favorite personal memory of HS Soccer?

My favorite memory of HS soccer was overall all of the memories that we made as a team; being part of a team (especially in high school) is one of the best/most fun experiences. All of the fun things we did together as a team (team dinners, hanging out outside of school/practice, bus rides, etc.) are what made some of the best memories! Also being such a good team (winning back to back district champs and winning regionals to make it to the state playoffs) helped too 🙂

2. What was your greatest win of your 4 years on Varsity?

Winning both districts and regionals senior year and making it to the state semifinal game! Something I will never forget!

3. What are you doing these days?

Finally done with school for the first time since high school (graduated HS in 2012 and just graduated from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy a few weeks ago)!! Also married my high school boyfriend this past October (Tim Walters 🙂 ) so am now officially Dr. Walters!

4. What advice do you give this year’s seniors?

High school is definitely a fun and exciting time, making memories with friends you have known for a large portion of your life, but there is so much more out there! Take all that you have learned, both from school and being part of a team through sports, with you to make the most of all the amazing opportunities that will be coming your way whether it be at college or straight into a career! I know how much of a bummer it is not being able to have your graduation ceremony (I missed out on my own graduation ceremony this year too at UM), but that doesn’t take away from the fact that you achieved an amazing accomplishment and are still a graduate 🙂 You have so many more good memories and exciting milestones and accomplishments ahead!

5. How many years did you make varsity

4 years — at the time, it was pretty cool to make varsity as a Freshman 🙂

6. What number did you wear?

#11

7. Anything you want to say to the girls based on how they did not get to play their season.

I am so so sorry you not only did not get to play your last season of high school soccer, but for all of the other end of the school year activities that were missed. I would say to try and cherish the memories and friends that you did have the opportunity of making during your high school/ high soccer career. High school is a time you will always remember and COVID can’t take that away from you! If anything you will remember it more because of this!!

8. Were you a captain?

No, but my twin was so that made me sidekick to the captain 🙂
