Downriver Watermelon Run

The cross country team hosted the annual Downriver Watermelon Run yesterday afternoon at Elizabeth Park. It was a beautiful day for a meet, and our runners excelled on the home course. All of the girls ran their season best times, and sophomore Jamie Glatfelter medaled by finishing 11th overall. The boys team also showed marked improvement with 7 runners out of 9 setting new season bests. Sophomore Gavin Diroff had a tremendous kick at the end of the race, narrowly placing him in the top 30 and earning a medal.
Thank you to Blocks and Rhulig's for donating the watermelon for the event and to all the family members that volunteered and supported the team!
