The Ryan Fischer Legacy Award was established to Honor the life of Ryan Fischer and the legacy he 
left the Michigan hockey community. The award celebrates one outstanding senior varsity hockey 
player (male or female) who best exemplifies the character and values by which Ryan lived his life 
and who has made a positive impact to their team, their school, and their community.
We need your help! The scholarship board is asking for your assistance in discovering this year’s 
recipient. Here is what you can do for us:
•  Take a minute or two to review the attached trifold brochure for an overview of the 
scholarship
•  Visit our website, www.RyanFischer.org to learn about Ryan and why this scholarship is 
special.
•  Encourage your players to do the same!
•  While on the website, make sure to view tributes by Jack Doles (local sportscaster in Grand 
Rapids), Ryan’s friends, and others in the “News & Events” tab.
•  Share these experiences with your team as an opportunity to promote individual player 
development which ultimately will contribute to a great team culture
•  Encourage those eligible, outstanding student athletes on your roster to apply. For 2025, the 
recipient will receive a one-time college scholarship valued at $5,000
In addition, the recipient’s high school hockey program will also receive a $500 donation from the 
scholarship foundation!
Applications are due to you no later than January 30, 2026. We ask that you verify athletic 
eligibility of each applicant per our websites guidelines and forward the application on to us so 
they are received by February 6, 2026.
The Ryan Fischer Legacy Scholarship board sincerely appreciates your time and effort to identify
