The JV Trojans lost a heartbreaker to Taylor by a score of 8-6. The 1st half was a defensive battle. Trenton eventually established a drive that put them in scoring position, and QB Keegan Lewis connected with Andrew Block for a touchdown. After a failed 2 point conversion attempt, the Trojans led 6-0 and carried that lead into halftime, but not before a touchdown saving interception by Andrew Block to preserve the lead. The 2nd half was much like the 1st, although Trenton was able to find a better rhythm offensively. Owen McAlister and Andrew Block had several receptions each, and McAlister and Seth Lozon were able to gain some yards on the ground. Defensively, Bowen Wendland led the charge with several solo tackles. Zach Berry made a huge play to prevent a deep pass completion. With 6 minutes to go, Taylor was able to manufacture a strong drive and score a touchdown and 2pt conversion. With 2 minutes to go, the Trojans were able to march all the way down the field with an aerial attack led by Keegan Lewis. Great pass protection was provide all drive by Eric Chamberlin, Andrew Hawkins, Mason Carroll, Logan Michels, Noah Bolton, Bowen Wendland and Nate Ariganello. They fell short of finishing off the drive, and Taylor was able to kill the remaining time on the clock. The JV Trojans (0-2) will try to improve their recored next week against the Carlson Marauders. The game will be on Thursday, October 1 at Carlson. Game time is 6pm. Go Blue!
