At the beginning of the meet Trenton recognized staff members for there great work and for helping the student athletes throughout there careers. Each swimmer had the opportunity to show their appreciation by writing a not on a swim cap to a teacher and invited them to the meet. Thank you Trenton Public Schools Staff for all you Support!

To start the meet, the medley relay with 3 seniors and 1 junior broke an 18 year old pool record going 1:39.64. Congrats to Dylan Lyons, Spencer Boling-Hamer, Michael Wolsek, and Caden Westrate on that great accomplishment. The Trenton B relay took 2nd place going a 1:53.89. The relay was Enrique Alcantar, Alex Herin, Eli Krause, and Carl Pate. The 200 free was won by Spencer Boling-Hamer with a season best time of 1:49.98. Dylan Lyons also had a season best time of 2:03.16 and Caden Westrate took 4th with a time of 2:06.00. The IM consisted of two freshman and 1 sophomore. Enrique Alcantar took first with a time of 2:12.01. Carl Pate took 3rd with a time of 2:26.46. Kyle Begeman took 6th with a time of 2:37.62. The 50 free was an exciting swim to watch. Michael Wolsek rebroke his own pool record in a time of 21.08. This time ranks 1st in the state for division 3. Michael Hintzen placed 4th with a time of 25.84 and Nick Medel took 5th with a time of 26.31. Season and Personal bests 50 free swims include: Ethan Popp 26.03, Nick Medel 26.31, Jacob Buzzy 26.77, Jace Chadwell 26.97, Caden Emmons 28.41, Will Taylor 28.62, Drew Matin 28.83, Nick Srabian 29.34, Quinten Hamilton 29.56, Sam Mckee 29.82, Keegan Rodden 30.04, Eli Goreta 30.42, Trevor Mulford 30.58, and Joe Petersen 32.63. Dryden Oboza took 2nd with a score of 175.40. The 100 butterfly Enrique Alcantar took 1st with a time of 58.37. Alex Herin took 2nd with a time of 1:00.80. Carl Pate took 5th with a season best time of 1:09.09. Caden Westrate won the 100 free with a season best time of 51.96, Anthony Baldwin took 2nd with a time of 56.89. Nick Medel took 3rd with a season best time of 57.20. There were also many other season/personal best in the 100 free including Jacob Buzzy 1:02.22, Will Taylor 1:03.54, Drew Martin 1:04.70, Daniel Gerometta 1:10.14, Keegan Rodden 1:10.46, and Joe Petersen 1:15.82. The 500 free Michael Wolsek had a season best time of 4:55.17. Dylan Lyons took 4th with a time of 5:43.39. Alex Herin took 5th with a time of 5:47.06. Trenton’s 200 free relays took 2nd and 3rd. The A of Alex Herin, Eli Krause, Dylan Lyons, and Anthony Baldwin went 1:43.75 and the B of Michael Hintzen, Nick Medel, Chance Day, and Ethan Popp went 1:44.33. The 100 backstroke Kyle Begeman took 2nd with a time of 1:09.67, Ethan Popp took 3rd with a time of 1:11.12, and Eli Krause took 5th with at time of 1:13.04. The 100 breaststroke another pool record was broken. Spencer Boling-Hamer took down the record taking first with a time of 59.99. Sam Mckee took 3rd with a time of 1:14.84 and Anthony Baldwin took 4th with a time of 1:16.34. The 400 Free Relay of Michael Wolsek, Nick Medel, Enrique Alcantar, and Spencer Boling-Hamer went a time of 3:24.52. Michael led the relay off in 48.54 breaking another pool record in the 100 free. Both teams were awesome to watch. There was a tremendous amount of cheering and great sportsmanship.
