The Rails came into the game undefeated in the Downriver League, and averaging 50 points a game. Trenton played tough, stingy defense only allowing LP to score 32 points in regulation. The Trojans held their leading scorer to only 3 made baskets, but she converted on 11-17 from the line. Riley Dolence, Alyssa King, and Malyah Bynum played a big part in holding their top scorer to 3 baskets.
It was unfortunate for Trenton to have an off night in the shooting department. The Trojans shot 18% overall from the field, and 42% from the Free Throw line.
The Trojans were led by Alayna Mulford’s double double. She scored 11 points, and grabbed 14 rebounds, Mulford was 5-5 from the stripe. she also had 5 steals. Hannah Martin had 10 points, 4 steals, 2 assists, 1 rebound, and 1 deflection. Kayla Everingham had 7 points, 15 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists, 1 deflection, and 1 block. Caroline Keller had a good game with 4 rebounds, 2 points, 1 assist, and 1 deflection. Malyah Bynum had 3 rebounds, 2 points, and 2 steals. Holly Louria had 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 points, and 1 block. Riley Dolence had 4 rebounds and 3 deflections. Olivia Raymond had a thunderous block that got the crowd going , and 1 deflection. Madison Beaune had 1 deflection.
