After securing an exciting victory late Friday night against St. Ignatius, Ohio’s #1 ranked team, our Trojans had a quick turn around to play against Calumet (#1, D3; #4 Super 10) at noon on Saturday at the MIHL Showcase.

Calumet entered the game with a little more rest and possibly with a little more prove after suffering only their second loss of the season in a Friday afternoon tilt against Livonia Stevenson.

The first period featured even play between both teams as Trenton capitalized on a rebound opportunity to jump to a 1-0 lead. Goal Scored by Brad Nemeth. Assist to Hunter Allen.

Calumet came out in the second a little more determined, outshot Trenton by 8, and took advantage of a 1:30 stretch that saw them score to tie the game up and score again to take a 2-1 lead.

Our Trojans battled back in the third, had numerous opportunities, but just could not convert eventually running out of time and seeing Calumet win 2-1.

All in all, the weekend should be viewed as successful!

Our Trojans showed well as we played 2 great teams in preparation for playoffs
