Trenton High School Girls Swim & Dive Team Hosts Allen Park for a Thrilling Dual Meet On Thursday, September 26, the Trenton High School girls swim and dive team hosted Allen Park for an exciting dual meet. The energy in the pool was electric from the start, with impressive first-place finishes by sophomore Delaney Cannon in the 200-yard freestyle and freshman Leland Tait in the 200-yard individual medley. The diving events saw notable contributions from freshman Rachel Coleman and sophomore Trinity Kelly, both of whom showcased their skills on the board. Their performances helped keep the meet competitive as Trenton battled into the second half. In a heartwarming gesture, the Trenton girls took a brief intermission to honor school staff members for Staff Appreciation Night. Each swimmer invited a staff member to the meet, recognizing their support and contributions to the team's success. Trenton continued to perform well throughout the second half of the meet,

Trenton's cross country team saw great success at their last race, the Monroe Jefferson Invitational. Within Division 2, the boys team was able to raise the third place trophy and the girls a second place trophy. Six of our eight boys and five of our nine girls earned a spot in the top 30 and their own individual medal, including a first place win for senior Marisa Chuey.  Everyone's efforts came together for the team victories, and with great races came great times. More than half the team clocked new personal or season bests. Below are the finishing times for all of the athletes: Owen Hassett 19:04.67 (SR)Gavin Diroff 19:42.07 (PR)Christopher Lezotte 20:41.05 Leighton Thorn 21:52.30 (PR)Ibrahim Al-Zrouf 22:46.65 (PR)Elijah Benskey 24:19.87 (PR)Michael Rowland 24:51.21 (PR)Khalan Lowe 30:00.50  Marisa Chuey 20:30.80 (SR)Jamie Glatfelter 21:33.23 (PR)Devyn Dorey 22:18.51 (SR)Avalina Williamson 23:19.84Audrey Fallone-Gerou 25:13.2Isabel Natividad

The cross country team competed in the first of three Downriver League matchups for the season yesterday at Lake Erie Metropark.  The girls team had a strong showing with four runners finishing in the top 14, giving them a solid start towards earning a league title. Overall, the team earned 2nd place, hard fought through a focused, team driven strategy. The girls battled for every place they could get, and it paid off with our best team finish in a league match up since 2017.  The boys team went into the meet with a goal to defeat their closest competitor, Lincoln Park. The boys raced with competitive spirit, but ended up falling short in a tiebreaker. Despite this, the team still saw much success with several personal and season best times. The finishing times for all the athletes are below: Owen Hassett 19:19.8 (SR)Christopher Lezotte 20:26.1 (PR)Gavin Diroff 21:32.5 Leighton Thorn 22:26.3 (SR)Ibrahim Al-Zrouf 23:25.1 Elijah
