Trenton hosted Woodhaven tonight in the DRL playoffs.
The game was a typical match between these 2 programs. Hardworking, motivated, energy and a playoff atmosphere game. The first half ended 0-0 with few chances to score as each group defended at a high level on all 4 levels of play.
The 2nd half Trenton jumped out and took control of the ball and created many good chances and corner kicks. Trenton scored 2 minutes in the half with a goal by Kate Haveman and an assist by Avery Schultz. That turned up the energy by Woodhaven but the backline play and goalkeeping stood the wave. Then Trenton turned it up and found a corner kick goal by Avery Schultz in the 62nd minute of the match to end the scoring.
Next up for Trenton to end the DRL playoff season is 5/15 at home vs Edsel Ford at 7:30pm.
