Trenton Triumphs Over Woodhaven, 5-0!
Trenton ousted rival, Woodhaven, 5-0 on Thursday.
Trenton got on the board in the B2 after Zach LaMay singled, and Josh Pippin doubled, each scoring a run.
Trenton added to their early lead in the B3 after Easton Tinsley singled, and Zach DeChane hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring a run.
Joel Mator stepped on the mound for the Trojans. The southpaw allowed one hit and zero runs over 7 innings, striking out 5 and walking none. Phillips took the hill for the Warriors, allowing nine hits and 5 runs over 4 innings, striking out 1 and walking 3.
Trenton tallied 10 hits in the game. Pippin led the offensive attack with 3 hits from the leadoff spot, Trenton was flawless in the field. Caleb Kidd had the most chances in the field with 6.
Mator had a no-hitter going into the B7 until Sadiku led the inning off with a single to left. After hitting Chwalek for the second time in the game, Mator induced 3 fly outs to end the game.
Woodhaven turned one double play in the game. Woodhaven also committed no errors in the field. Chwalek had the most chances in the field with 11.
With the win, Trenton swept the season series (2-0) from Woodhaven for the first time since 2014.
