Varsity Softball had 3 games against state-ranked opponents this week and it was a roller coaster of a ride. On Tuesday the Trojans lost to #5 ranked D1 Saline Hornets 8-4.

Wednesday saw the Trojans shut out for the second time this season as we lost to Grand Blanc 15-0.

The Trojans only had 3 hits in the contest as Aleah Tanguay Annika Segedi and Analy Guth had the only hits on the day. The Trojans also committed 4 errors in the contest.

After being knocked down by Grand Blanc the Trojans looked to respond against the #8 team in D1 Walled Lake Northern Knights on Thursday.  The Trojans were clicking on all cylinders and everything went the Trojans way. Hannah Feijoo took the win in the circle pitching 7 innings and allowing 10 hits,  2 runs, and struck out 5.  Hannah was in several tough situations but always seemed to find a way out as her strikeouts were timely. The defense behind her was stellar as Lonodon Williams and Kara Fedea made several nice plays. Catcher Lex Klonica also helped take a runner off the bases in the first inning when the Knights were looking for a big inning.  London and Kara’s plays could have made ESPN’s top 10 plays as they both were amazing.

On offense, London Williams was 3-4 with 5 RBis. Annika Segedi went 2-4 and drove in 3 runs. Anica Allstead had a great day at the plate going 2-2 and was hit by a pitch for her 12th time this season.

Maggie Krohn had a good day at the plate going 2-2 and she scored 2 runs on the day. Lexis Klonica hit the only long ball of the day as she went deep over the left field fence for a 3-run home run her second HR of the season.  The Trojans have now smacked 37 home runs on the year.

The Trojans will be back in action on Tuesday as we travel to dexter for a doubleheader, our last event before Districts on Saturday, June 1st at 10 am
