Trenton hosted Huron for the district title. The 1st place team of the Downriver league vs the first place team of the Huron League.
Trenton scored in the 12 minute to take the lead with a finish by Kate Haveman who received a great pass from Claire Gonyea.
Huron matched it with a pk finish  in the 22nd minute.
That would finish off the half. The game would go on a long delay before restarting due to weather.
The rest of the game would be back and forth with very minimal chances and when chances came both Leila Gorno and the Huron GK would answer the call.
In OT both teams fought hard in the midfield to win the ball and great defending all over the field that took us to PKS.

Trentons finishers Claire Gonyea, Chloe Wishart, Avery Schultz, Kate Haveman and Lily Mulford all made their shots.

Huron made their first 3 but on the 4th shot Senior GK Leila Gorno made a great save to win the game 5-3 in PK’s!

Great game to both teams who put every ounce of energy into that match!

Trenton will move onto regionals on Wednesday 6/5 at Divine Child and waiting for their opponent.
