Candidate for Detroit Free Press Athlete of the Week for Oct. 6-12:

 

 Mia Hyde, volleyball, Trenton High School: Hyde and the Trojans helped bring Woodhaven's undefeated streak to an end on Oct. 8 in a 3-0 sweep. The junior outside hitter finished the game with 15 kills, three aces, seven digs, and two blocks with a .406 hitting efficiency rate.
