Trojans Skate Past Woodhaven:

 

The Trojans were in action Saturday Night against the Woodhaven Warriors as they honored all Military Members and First Responders.  Both teams honored individuals including Jon Sivi (Navy and Police Officer) and Larry Jesue (Navy).  Both teams and the crowd donated over $350.00 to the Downriver for Veterans organization who takes care of Veterans in the downriver area.

 

In the first period, the Trojans jumped out to a 2-0 lead.  Senior Finn Aitkens scored from Donovan Durbin and Zach LaMay, and Junior Donovan Durbin scored from Ethan Gilbert and Zach LaMay.  Senior Evan Sivi turned away all 3 shots he faced.

 

In the second period, the Trojans added four more goals.  Junior Patrick Rogowski scored from Durbin and Nathan Sparks, Durbin scored from Sparks and Leone, Brett Allen scored from Landon Stark and Seth Kneiding, and Seth Kneiding scored from Aitkens and Rogowski.  Senior Isaac Anderson stopped all 3 shots he faced.

 

In the third period, the Trojans added two more goals to end the game in a mercy.  Jack Brownlie scored from Jayden Jones and Ethan Gilbert and Durbin scored his third of the game from LaMay.  Senior Brennan Toth stopped both of the shots he faced.

 

The Trojans are next in action against Catholic Central at USA Hockey Arena on Wednesday and are back at home on Saturday to face off against Wyandotte.
