Trenton Trojans Varsity Roll Past Riverview

Trenton Trojans Varsity easily dispatched Riverview on Saturday, 11-3.

Riverview got on the board in the top of the first inning after C Schoenberg singled to center field, and Riverview scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.

Trenton Trojans Varsity jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when Zach LaMay drew a walk, scoring one run, Talon Vanhovel singled, scoring two runs, and Davis Gray grounded out, scoring one run.

A single by Ashton Rooney extended the Trenton Trojans Varsity lead to 5-2 in the bottom of the second inning.

Brennan Gulliver earned the win for Trenton Trojans Varsity. The pitcher allowed five hits and two runs over three innings, striking out six and walking three. Minnick took the loss for Riverview. The reliever went two innings, surrendering three runs on four hits, striking out four and walking one. Fritz opened the game for Riverview. Brendan Wright tossed one inning of shutout ball for Trenton Trojans Varsity in relief. The pitcher surrendered zero hits, striking out two and walking none.
